We Stand For Fathers’ Rights

You will be your children’s father FOREVER! You have the right to participate in their lives. And, they have a right to see you— even if you were never married to their mother.

In the past, it was wrongfully assumed that children were always better off with their mother. Today we realize that a father’s role in his children’s lives is equally as important as the mother’s. Florida law no longer gives one gender preference over the other in child custody matters, even when working fathers are the source of the family’s income. The primary concern is the best interest of the children.

If you are seeking a divorce or need a family law attorney known for aggressively representing the rights of fathers, please contact us online or call us at 850-435-6909 or toll free at 850-435-6909 for a free initial consultation.

We Firmly Believe That The Best Parenting Requires Both Parents

Our principal attorney, Stephen T. Holman, is a divorced father who knows from personal experience what it’s like not to have your children with you day in and day out. He can relate to your experience and will aggressively advocate on your behalf. He feels strongly about helping you avoid mistakes that could put your parental rights at risk.

Mr. Holman has vast experience helping fathers establish, retain, and modify their legal rights to see their children; help raise them; and have the legal power to make important decisions. Even if you were never married to your child’s mother, we can help you establish paternity, which is the first step toward gaining the right to visitation or custody.

Has your former spouse’s income dramatically increased or decreased? Has he or she developed a drug or alcohol problem that puts your children’s safety at risk? If circumstances have substantially changed since your divorce decree, we can request a modification in the child custody, visitation, or support arrangements.

Just For This Day

Just for this morning, I am going to smile whenever I see your face.
And laugh when I feel like crying.

Just for this morning, I will let you wake up softly all rumpled in your pajamas,
and hold you close until you are ready for the day

Just for this morning,
I will let you choose what you want to wear,
and smile and tell you that you’re beautiful

Just for this morning,
I am going to step over the laundry,
and pick you up and take you to the park to play.

Just for this morning,
I will leave the dishes in the sink
and let you help me put that 100 piece puzzle together.

Just for this afternoon,
I will unplug the television and turn off the computer
and sit with you in the garden, blowing bubbles.

Just for this afternoon, I will not yell once,
not even a tiny grumble
when you scream and whine for ice cream.
And I will buy you one, if the ice cream man comes by.

Just for this afternoon,
I won’t worry about what you are going to be when you grow up,
or what the future might bring.

Just for this afternoon,
I will let you help me bake cookies, and I won’t stand over you
trying to ‘fix’ things.

Just for this afternoon,
I will take you to McDonalds,
and buy us both a happy meal, so you can have two toys.

Just for this evening,
I will hold you in my arms and tell you a story
about when you were born and how much we love you.

Just for this evening,
I will let you splash in the tub,
and not get angry when water spills all over my nice clean floor.

Just for this evening,
I will let you stay up late, while we sit on the porch swing
and count all the stars.

Just for this evening,
I will bring you a million glasses of water,
and snuggle beside you and miss my favorite TV show.

Just for this evening, when I kneel down to pray
I will simply be grateful for all that I have
and not ask for anything, except…

Just one more day.
